It seems many addon developers are hard at work getting a products line ready for the coming sim. Two new features of MSFS is the 3D grass/rocks/ground and the sloped airports (runways/aprons/taxiways)

I really hope there is a way to keep those features in addon airports. It seems for those addon scenery airports that go outside of the airport fence line, I also hope that POI items are hand picked as some of the default items are better than the addon in some areas.

if its anything like fsx you can add to the existing scenery so the sloped runways should not 'have to' change except for looks or w/e if you/they want
even the sloped runways might be configurable/placable etc with the new sdk but idk how it works or how far it goes yet
so for airports they would likely add/replace buildings with better or more accurate models etc but leave the runway itself alone as far as position/slope

as far as POI's im not sure what you mean exactly, addons are just that so are not required, if you like the default poi/airport just dont install an addon for that location
some addons might cover more than 1 i guess but again idk

I hope with the SDK and the help of ScruffyDuck, we'll have something like ADE or WED to mod our favorite airports.  It just so happens, the two small airports near me that I use most of the time in the sim have zero buildings/hangers, zilch nothing...well except ground vehicles and a few static planes here and there, oh and a small fuel station.  The runways, taxiways, aprons, etc all seem to be pretty good so it's just a matter of plopping down some hangars.  I hope there is a library, but I can create my own models if required - well I used to be able to that is.
