August 8, 20205 yr I hate to say this but looking through the screenshot forum compared to what's on the horizon is really showing the leap we're about to take. Before all the Youtube videos and screenshots of the new sim shots of P3D and XPlane were looking really good. Now all seems dated to me. Maybe it's just my excitement or is the change that stark? The only thing that holds up in how it comes across is DCS. Microsoft is about to really control this hobby seeing so much will be dependent on the Bing/Azure servers on their end. I used to hate having too much in the cloud as a company can pull the plug, charge, or arbitrarily change things at any time in the future. That being said the contrast of what we're getting here is so revolutionary and most likely no other way to get this level of detail to us, I have to concede and hope for the best moving forward (keep the old rig fully loaded just in case). Again comparing what we have been using to what's coming is really noticeable at least to me. August 8, 20205 yr Ironic that DCS will be second best after Aug 18th considering it still hasn't figured out how to properly model mountains. FSX | DCS | X-Plane 11 | MSFS 2020 | IL2:BoX Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub
