August 11, 20205 yr I have hope for my i5 7600K (can OC to 4.4/4.5 if needed) GTX 1070ti and 16GB Ram. I wouldn't mind high settings in smaller cities and towns. I just ordered the Gigabyte 32'' 1440p curved monitor today 🙂Hoping for better immersion and also prepping for a new build in a couple months, give or take depending on what the 3000 series cards look like. For shits and giggles, I might just try and see whether I can get framerates in the double digits. i5 processor, 8 gigs of system ram, 4 gig videocard, an old and cranky harddrive that hisses and puffs like a geriatric chain smoker climbing stairs, ha ha ha. Hahaha, same here. Double digits is the primary goal for now, until a decision on a new system has been made. Gonna be fun, in some weird way. 🤪
August 11, 20205 yr Low graphics settings in games have changed a lot. FS and other games look actually very good on low settings. In older games, low settings was always a bad thing, textures seemed like to have a resolution of 20x20 pixels and were stongly blurred. Also, up until now ObsidianArt has made the best videos considering the hardware requirements. They explain very well the things that are relevant regarding specs and visual quality. Surprisingly the RX580 is even faster than a 1060 in median, but in FS it is far behind. It was also the case that in X-Plane Nvidia cards produce way more fps than AMD cards. Thats curious. Btw. in 20 days Nvidia will anounce something new, good times for FS users: https://www.techspot.com/news/86319-nvidia-teases-big-event-possible-rtx-3000-series.html
