August 11, 20205 yr Seems some of the effects are implmented. I say "implemented" in the sense that they are obviously imports from FSX. August 11, 20205 yr Well - I will fly to the Aleuthians and see if I can recreate the scenes from John Hustons "Report from the Aleuthians". If I don't get the spray seen in that movie I want all my money back for my Premium Deluxe! August 11, 20205 yr There are a number of small FX missing from the alpha and beta footage. Wake and spray is one of the most notable ones. We had tire smoke in an early video of landing at Courchevel but it was going in the opposite direction it should have been, though it was subsequently swept away by the turning plane’s back draft Which is an impressive detail. I did see a recent beta video at wheel level perspective of taxing through wet weather and there appeared to be a very nice effect after the tire of the water having been expressed away. The details that I’ve seen (tire smoke being modelled in the atmosphere and the water on runway) makes me think these “little” FX are in fact quite complex and so have needed more effort to get right. Fingers crossed it’s all waiting for us upon release, but if not, I’m sure it will come.
