Pilot2ATC - Temporary course change to avoid weather

Featured Replies

Looked through the commands, and searched as I could through this forum.  I took off from Miami and the SID took me straight into some heavy weather.  I could not find a command to temporarily change my course to avoid the weather, so I kept getting annoying messages to get me back on track.  I printed out all the commands using the grammar option and didn't see anything but I may have missed the syntax.  How do I do a temporary course change?

Thanks!

I have wondered about this too.   Whenever I need to request something when I don't know how to say it,  I use the ?+ to scroll through all the available options but I, like you, don't see anyway to make this request.   I end up either just flying through the weather to keep the controller happy or do the right thing and let them fuss at me.

I'd like to know how to do this properly as well.
