From everything I've seen I don't believe the flight model is that broken that you can't comply with whatever request ATC could possibly have. Yeah I was a little confused here too. Sure, it might make it more difficult to fly RVAV approaches or routes, but from what I’ve seen it does this adequately, and worst case scenario you pull up the charts and keep going direct to the next fix if the plane somehow really broke.
