Were people honestly expecting the default commercial aircraft for a simulator designed for maximum accessibility to be comparable to premium 3rd party products designed for professionals and hardcore simmers? And if so, where did those expectations come from?

August 14, 20205 yr Never in the history of flight simulation have the default airliners ever matched up to payware competition. Never. May all your landings be safe ones! Hugh Costello - NZWN
August 14, 20205 yr This is starting to be painful to watch, I'm starting to question even some of the most popular "promoters" who don't even have some of the most basic functions like flaps key-mapped before they make a vid. One of them didn't even know they could change the weather, another didn't know you could raise the landing gear ect... It's all rushed hack jobs for clicks. But that's my opinion. I guess you can blame hype and marketing but the FMC is the planes are barely functional to not working at all. Pressing FLC would nosedive the plane. there is a new build now that seem to have improved on some of the issue but it still not what I call a working airliners. Like I wouldn't be able to fly this on VATSIM since I don't have all the tools necessary to comply to an ATC's request. https://fsprocedures.com Your home for all flight simulator related checklist.

Pretty harsh assessment and not something I agree with from watching the videos but we'll see on the 18. FSX | DCS | X-Plane 11 | MSFS 2020 | IL2:BoX Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub

That's been compounded by the fact that the systems aren't complete yet, but I have no reason to think that they won't be eventually.

August 14, 20205 yr I understand that they have chosen streams based of the popularity purely for the purpose of free marketing but really some of these streams are ridiculous. Its annoying having pro-ordered the sim, to watch people who have no interest be gifted keys. While we remain locked out. Its the same with any major game release. Twitch and youtube influencers get given access before the people with general interest. I don't agree they should get special treatment based on there popularity. It also makes it harder for someone whos interested in starting youtube or twitch to build a following, because there content ends up being buried by the algorithms because more established content creators for whatever genre get a head start by days or in some cases weeks on there content.

August 14, 20205 yr Just saw someone mocking it non stop which was disturbing, honestly the media preview was enough but to release the full Premium Deluxe to this wide of an audience is just not right. Anyway it's being over saturated with influencers for channel clicks which is making it look bad. Oh well I'm taking a break from it all until release. What tools are you talking about? If you can't comply with an ATC request you might want to improve your flying skills. From everything I've seen I don't believe the flight model is that broken that you can't comply with whatever request ATC could possibly have.
