Trying to start first flight, and local time is 9 pm, it1s dark- how to change time?

There’s a slider near the time, drag it to your desired time. It’s one if the many unintuitive design choices in the UI.

Also once you're in flight you can move your mouse cursor to the upper right and the icons will appear.  Click on the cloud and you can change time/weather as you fly.
