Engine Starting problem

Featured Replies

Hi allHas anyone had a problem starting the engines on aircraft brought accross from FS9? I have installed the PSS Airbus and Overland Boeings which others say work OK but when I start the engines the N2 spools up to 11 to 14 then stops at that level no matter what other switches are set at. I even went back to FS9 to make sure I was doing it correctly. The only solution is to use ctrl+E which works OK.Any suggestions?ThanksPhil

Jet Engine starting has been changed in FSX and is one of the small issues that developers have to change when building Jets for FSX:-)

I have both the FSDZigns L-049A Connie and the Piper/Maltby HS 748 installed in FSX. I have difficulty starting the engines in both aircraft. They both have detailed start requirements and if I start cold cockpit they won't start as they did in FS9. I have to resort to the "CTL+E" method, and even that is sporatic in it's results. Paul

>Jet Engine starting has been changed in FSX and is one of the>small issues that developers have to change when building Jets>for FSX:-)> Is that detailed in the SDK somewhere? I'd sure like to go into my Connie's gauge cab and make the necessary changes. I've already had to tweak the fuel gauge ( weight ) code to account for a disparity between FSX and FS9. Thing is the FSX SDK still has the FS9 format for the statement in question, which doesn't work. Paul

So its not just me then. I thought I had forgotten how to do it since I seem to have spent so much time tweaking instead of flying.ThanksPhil
