VL-3 Autopilot Question.

Featured Replies

I like this aircraft. It flies well but has anyone found the Autopilot for it? !

Can't see a separate unit and can't locate it in the menus of either displays.

Sorry for my stupidity.

Hey, its not just you :-)

I've looked high and low in the cockpit to no avail.

The plane does have autopilot functions, but the only way I've found to activate them is using the keyboard control "z", which is the default key to toggle on/off the autopilot.  The AP indicator lights up near the top of the main display.

Hope this helps.

That helps and I thought as much.

Wow, expensive avionics and no AP.

Really nice aircraft and she flies straight and level when you get her trimmed in just right.

I'm thinking of taking her around the world;

Fast, land on anything, low fuel consumption. Nothing not to like.

It has settings for alt and hding, and you can set them. Just no way to activate them once set. control h and control a or z does nothing,

All the AP modes will work with keyboard commands.

If you install the Working Title G3X dev version, it adds a new page to the G3X with touchscreen AP controls.
