August 27, 20205 yr Is there a way to stop TrackIR snap back to the default straight ahead position after a few seconds in disabled mode? Any other tips and ideas for TrackIR? Unfortunately there is no simple binding for default VC view in MSF2020. It used to be F9 I think in the previous iterations. i bound F9 to TIR Center. Thanks.

I have not found any solution to the snap back issue. I did not file a report as I found a workaround that suits me. You can save "custom" views in the VC (much like their instrument views), even the default view. I save the "static" custom view that i want to glance at in VC without head movement (like instruments), when selecting that view, I have Trackir "reset" and then immediate "disable" actions bound to the same button on my joystick...when I switch to that view, I hit the (reset, then disable) button that locks the "straight ahead" look for that view, eliminating any snap back a few seconds later. This only works for custom views where I want no head movement, this does not work for "disabling" Trackir on the fly.

August 27, 20205 yr Author Also when switching to saved custom views the sim should disable TrackIR internally, like EZCA or X-Camera can do that. Also I don't like that your custom camera returns to the default straight view if you call it 2 times. Edited August 27, 20205 yr by Dirk98
August 28, 20205 yr I've logged a ticket with NaturalPoint. It detracts a fair bit from the usefulness of TrackIR.
August 29, 20205 yr I would also prefer if TrackIR input is automatically disabled whenever I switch to the drone camera. cheers, NiIs U.AMD 5800X3D | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 3200MHz | RTX 4070 12GB @ 1920x1050px
