Livery Install Question

Featured Replies

I am trying to install the liveries from https://www.msfsaddons.org/liveries/liveries-megapack-v4/.  When I follow the directions, and get to the last folder where I see the folders "Official" and "Community", the Official is above the community folder and the community folder is empty.  I tried to drop the liveries in the community folder and when I loaded the sim, I couldn't get passed the "press any key" page.  Every time I would press a key, it would go blank, then return to that page.  Did I do something wrong with the install?  I had to do a reinstall of the sim and that takes forever!  I am particularly interested in the A320.   Thanks!

Log out of MSFS , then Log into your xbox account , start MSFS 2020. See if that doesn't fix this " press any key "  issue.

When you say you are dropping the liveries in the community folder, do you mean you are dropping the folders in there such as 'liveries-a320'? If you are, then you aren't doing anything wrong.

Strange, yes that is what i was doing.  Should there be anything in the community folder prior to dragging the liveries in there?  Mine was empty to start

No, it would be empty if you hadn't installed anything before that.

On my system everything I put into the Community directory on the C drive in users/blah/blah gets copied to D drive where I originally told XBox I wanted it installed.

If I erase either directory, they both get erased, so I can't recover the drive space.

It also happens for Orbx scenery. I told Orbx Central to create a library on my D drive for Santa Barbara and Burbank, and it was installed to the library and Community on C both.

I'm running out of room for MSFS..

Sounds like a directory junction...
