747 needs MOD light fix

Featured Replies

Just as there is a group MOD doing wonderful improvements in the Airbus 320 Neo, I wish the 747 will be tackled next. Its badly needed.

One thing that shouldnt be too difficult is change the cockpit light colors to a tome of red, and green in the FMC

I have enclosed two photos of real night 747 cockpits compared to the third from MSFS2020

The FMC colours in the default are correct, it's one of the key differences between the 747-8 and 747-400 cockpits (the photos you sent are from the 400). And the red hue in the photos is likely just an issue with the white balance of the camera, though the MSFS version doesn't seem very correct either in that regard.

oh I see, well...in that case

How beautiful the 747-400 is , lets hope  some dev will put a 400 so we can stack the 800 in the hangar. The 400 is from a better era anyway 1990-2010

But its really reddish, its not a camera effect. Those are not pictures but stills from videos

Thats what i want! 747-400 forever

I'd like a MOD group to tackle the Longitude. It's all wishful thinking and even more so seeing as the SDK for aircraft has yet to be released.  Patience's is a virtue, things will happen is do time.

Concerning the pictures above the cockpit lighting is more orange in color.  It's not red at all.  The lights go well with the brown interior.

you are right, orangish, even pinkish, certainly more immersive than the actual in the sim

Yes those pictures with the red hue aren’t really representative of the real 747 night time appearance , and the picture of the sim actually looks a lot more like it.

The lights in 747 cockpit lights give off yellowish light onto the brown panels, I guess as mentioned the red hue in those photos is due to an issue with the camera.

I’ve not tried the in sim  747 at night yet
