Taxi Ribbon

Recommended Posts

With MSFS not matching some airport taxiways (instead using procedural generating taxiway signs and designations), I've had to resort to using the Taxi Ribbon. Anyone else hate the bright blue implementation in MSFS and long for the semi-transparent yellow one from previous? Heck, I'd even be happy if there was just a button I could map to turn it on off (like you could through ATC in earlier versions)..

Don't mind the size of it so much, but I do not like the fact that there is no key to toggle it.

Don't like the arrows, too big and they move through the inside of the aircraft as you taxi over them.  It would be nice if there was an option to turn off the arrows but leave on the POI marker that shows where the parking spot is.

I don't mind it, but I find that the taxi marker doesn't always turn off. Sometimes when at a non-towered airport, I turn it on, but the ribbon and marker should disappear once I'm holding short of the runway, or on it. It gets to the point where I'm in the air, and it's still there.

we don't even need a ribbon like this. To be honest a simple directional arrow at the top of the screen would suffice (and be a lot less obtrusive).

After landing I leave it to Otto the copilot to taxi and park the plane. He does a greatJob while I'm making something to eat or Getting a drink. It's what junior officers were made for no.
