Trainer had all airports; now it doesn't (resolved)

Featured Replies

Reinstalled the trainer as having performance issues and thought I'd try that.

The trainer (which I use outside of the sim to look up airports) used to have all airports worldwide in it, now on reinstalling it only has US airports.

Is there something I'm missing here. Rather odd.

Thanks

You can choose which navdata base to use in the GTN.

Jeppesen worldwide, or Garmin U.S.

Which one do you have selected?

Did you use to have an older trainer and if so, which version was it?

What airport is missing in particular?

Not sure as when I run the GTN installer it fetches and downloads its own trainer so unfortunately there's no option for me to just stick with one version.

All airports outside the US are missing.

That is really strange...

Have a look in:  Program Data \ Garmin \ Trainers \ Databases

In that folder there should be a nav_db2.bin file of about 22 MB, and a nav_db2_grm.bin file of about 9 MB.

The bigger one is the worldwide dataset, the smaller one is the U.S. dataset.

What have you got?

Hi again - please disregard all this now. I did a fresh install of windows because of some other issues and the database is fine now. Thanks!
