October 5, 20205 yr I have the FSX boxed Deluxe Edition. Not knowing about installing it in it's own directory at the time I have it in the default location. I found that when I first upgraded to Windows 10 I was getting many CTD's. By running it in compatibility mode, Windows 7 I have had no further problems. I have not tried running it under Windows 10 version 2004 as I am a believer in 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'!
October 22, 20205 yr I didn't have any problems at first, installing into my C:\ and a folder of my choice (FSX). Then I began to get freezes and CTD's, Slowly I posted about these issues and I began to get helpful replies; If you experience unwanted FSX behaviour, remember, though it not indicated as a MUST to get UIAutomationcore.dll installed onto your FSX root folder, this file is already present in windows. Mind you do ot confuse the preseent file with the one you download, otherwise you just keep the problem ( Been there, Done that). the file I am using and have used since I changed to windows10 is ver. 6.0.6001.18.000; 31-5-2020 Hope it helps.
