Lightning at night

Featured Replies

The lightning in this sim is better than any I've seen (I wouldn't rule it perfect, but its the best thus far....maybe a modder will find the code for it and tweak it).  I find the thunder very convincing.

Poor rampees.....had to bring me in when I had no business flying.  I'll buy them dinner. 🙂

Cloud to cloud.....but the lighting effects of the bolt as it illuminates the ground is awesome!

Pics just can't do the feeling of immersion justice.....

I think the first one really gets your point across.

I liked that one...too bad I had to overdrive the brightness/contrast in the post-production work so you guys would see more than just the wands and the halo of the lightning flash.

On my screen in the sim...I saw a bit more...but the illusion of evening is very well done (when you have all your monitor and screen settings right).  I was waiting for a good flash to grab...waited a while and was almost dozing when that one lit up the whole screen briefly, and startled the heck outta me!

Love what this sim is delivering.
