Left wing dips during flare (a320)?

Featured Replies

I seem to have a problem during the flare on the a320. I do have the NX mod installed, but afaik it doesnt affect this mode.

What happens is that I have AT on but ap off, and as I get close to 20 ft, the left wing dips awkwardly and I have to bank almost full right to keep it from striking the ground. This makes it VERY hard to get smooth landings. Anyone else experiencing something similar on the a320?

Btw, I also tried doing the landing without AT, but it happened just the same. Seems to happen regardless of wind as well. It's like the programmers coded the flare mechanic to the roll axis instead of the pitch 😄

When I tried the A320 right after release exactly what you described happened to me as well several times. That was just one of many issues I had with the A320 so I haven't used the A320 again since then and I am enjoying the Cessnas for the time being.

It's an issue with the default aircraft and the mod hasn't fixed it, yet (if possible).  A320 Sim Pilot on YouTube has a bunch of tutorials on the plane and has started using and showing off the NX Mod as well.  In many of the videos he's had it happen on landings and mentions it's an issue with the default aircraft.  Similar to another random bug where the ILS diamonds don't show on the PFD and you have to turn the MFD over to LS mode to see if you're on target.

I always hand fly from FAF to the minimum s I have never notice that. But I assume it's some kind of problem with autothrottle logic that is causing asymmetric thrust.
