Coming back to flight simming in a big way!

Featured Replies

Hello everybody.  I'm one of the million+ who bought the new Flight Simulator.  I've been flight simming on and off since the late 80s (Sublogic FS 2.0 on a Commodore 64).  Very pleased with the new version and slowly relearning to fly using it and FSX Steam (dusted it off after a few years).  Used to be a member of this site at one time too and finally found my way back in.

Been lurking in the MSFS 2020 forum and found a lot of useful info so far.  Looking forward to contributing in the future.

Welcome back to Avsim. 🙂

Welcome!

Might I presume that you're using the new sim for the VFR GA aspect and FSX for IFR and airliner flying (....for now)?

For the most part, yes.  Plus I'm testing new cockpit hardware (controllers, panels, etc) in FSX so I can seamlessly move to 2020 once support is there.  I don't fly airliners (business jets is as far as I've ever really flown 'regularly' as airliners have always been overwhelming).
