xponder switchs in msfs2020 planes donot change P2A

Featured Replies

Hi Dave. I may have missed this in some other thread if so, sorry. I have noticed that on most msfs2020 aircraft, changing the transponder to ALT does not change it on P2A. There is stays inactive. I can change it manually on the P2A screen, which is OK, but wondered if I was missing something. Thanks for any help.

This is not uncommon in some aircraft, especially the more advanced ones like airliners.  Their avionics are implemented differently and don't necessarily allow them to be controlled by SimConnect / FSUIPC.  So, for them, you do have to change XPDR settings in both the aircraft and P2A.

Not sure about MSFS, but some aircraft in X-Plane, for example, have optional settings that enable control to external programs via SimConnect, so you might check with the authors on your plane.

Thanks for the info. I really have never had an issue in any X Plane 11 aircraft, only in MSFS 2020.

Same, XP was fine, but my King Air 350i in MSFS is a manual jobbie.
