What about 2 D panel ? MSFS 2020

Featured Replies

In  reality when you are in cokpit with a small, medium or big aircraft you dont need a camera ! you get all informations and you have to look left/right, down or up.  to found all nformations about the flight. I hope to get a 2 D panel for the lon gitude and the cessna. Eaglesoft made 2 D panel for the Cessna 750 for exemple.I was flying for about 12 years in reality. Regards, Serge

You will not see any 2d panels in this sim. An alternate is the click spot popup ipad looking tablet where you can make choices in a checkbox and then make it disappear. Carenado chose this method for their two models in the Marketplace.  This is a good alternative to 2d panels.

Whether or not it ever happens or not doesn't mean there isn't a strong case for one.  Here is a shining example on why one is needed.

Whether or not Asobo adds a 2d panel or not is not important.  What is important, is, that currently, navigating the controls of the VC are hampered by unusually small activation points, Nested Control Knobs, and camera movement within the cockpit while trying to adjust controls.

We should not have to zoom in two levels, mouse click, disable yoke visibility and whatever other contortions we need to go through just to enable pitot heat.  Nor should it take 5 minutes of fiddling with the G1000 "nested knobs" to simply choose to activate an approach.

Just making available a second window that we can use for displaying virtual cockpit only would solve most of the problems.
