September 27, 20205 yr The User Interface used in MSFS currently is clearly aimed at Xbox users. The biggest clue to this is the size of the click boxes in the simulator. Because the cursor movement on an Xbox is driven by a joystick rather than a mouse (which is quicker and more accurate than an Xbox controller Joystick), thus bigger response boxes are required for the Xbox version. That is a good indicator. It also explains why the UI for PCs is less than optimal. Things like the MSFS included controllers where only some switches and buttons can be used according to MS dictates is clearly not satisfactory. The new Xboxes will be on sale on Nov15th I believe and will be taking on the next PlayStation as a direct competitor so it is no wonder that MS is focusing on the Xbox version of MSFS as it may be a big draw card toward an Xbox rather than a PlayStation purchase. Hence the big question we need to ask ourselves is “Will MS revamp the PC user interface after the ball is over”, or will they force the users to carry on as best they can with current UI for PC inadequacies. As an aside will AVSIM require a separate forum for MSFS Xbox users or not, something to consider at the appropriate time. September 27, 20205 yr The UI could be a bit snappier, but overall, it's great after you get used to it. If you want to have things smaller, use the UI scaling. - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
September 27, 20205 yr I really still prefer the FSX P3D user interface way more detailed and specific as well as smaller. Chris Camp
