October 12, 20205 yr Guys. Sorry if there is already a post on this. I did see a post in the MS forum. But I didn't find a solution. Ever since the last update I noticed my scenery looks much blurrier. Even on ultra settings. I attempted to go back to medium and apply and then back to ultra. But it doesn't appear to do anything. I'm the first to admit that MSFS is not my primary sim. So I haven't used it much. But I was pretty surprised to open it again after the updates and see it lower quality now. Any ideas? thanks. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
October 12, 20205 yr I'm seeing it too. Apparently some changes were made either intentionally (for VR?) or unintentionally in the last patch, resulting in more pop-in of objects like trees and autogen buildings close to the plane, and blurred ground texture in the middle distance. The blurred terrain isn't as noticeable in areas with heavy photogrammetry like cities. I noticed it right away after the last patch, and there's been some discussion of it here (look for LOD as the search term). One of the Asobo devs acknowledged the problem in a Q&A after the patch landed. I'm hoping for a fix in the upcoming patch, but I don't think there has been any definitive confirmation from Asobo that it will be addressed in this next one. Keeping my fingers crossed. October 12, 20205 yr Yes, I have tried tweaking the hell out of it and I still can't getting looking as good as it was before - I didn't expect to really. I get close but I still see the odd shimmer or jagged edge. Some say it is more due to a sharpening filter rather than the anti-alias settings. I just don't know, but I am also hoping they can revert back to the previous settings with tomorrows patch. 👍 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). October 12, 20205 yr Author No worries. Like I said. Not my primary sim and since I’m not deep in the community wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me. But looks like it’s not 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
