October 13, 20205 yr in an aircraft which doesn't include this function?? Some FSX aircraft can save panel states to a greater or lesser degree. This is helpful when, like me, you don't leave your PC running overnight on a trans-oceanic 8 hour flight.. The Sky Sim MD-11 resents the emergency lighting switch and all the aircon packs, along with the cabin altitude (takes ages to get rid of the red warning on the MFD when you're cruising at 39000 feet let me tell you!) None of these things kill the aircraft in the sim. The BBS Airbuses are even worse in this regard. Not sure about the QualityWings 146/RJ yet... Is there some way to have the panel state save properly when I use the save flight key command (semi-colon), or does this sort of thing have to be coded into the air file? Is there no generic "widget for all" which enables the recovery of a panel? Thanks. October 14, 20205 yr Mark, Not aware of a utility that saves the state of an aircraft panel. I can imagine there would be too many variables to consider. As I understand it, even the autosave flight in payware FSUIPC only saves the simulator parameters. Going to your core requirement, would using the sleep function in your PC satisfy not leaving the computer "on" all night? October 14, 20205 yr Author Not sure, Dave - the sleep function might still upset the sim...
