Hopefully, it will be a good flight simulator at some point in time, but it will take a long time, I am afraid. Now, 2 months after its release, the "simulator" has not shown any real improvements or bug fixes. MS/ASOBO's priority is probably to get it working and released for XBOX now, and not to do improvements and bug fixes. Let me start by saying I don't doubt you're not intending to be a troll, and this is your genuine opinion, since I see some people quickly accused you of this. I think some people are getting tired of the threads where someone deigns to announce "their view" on MSFS, instead of just posting feedback or criticism in an of the threads already talking about it. That stipulated, nothing makes me drowsy faster than yet another person suggesting that Asobo's "real" priority just to work on the Xbox version now. Particularly when they've released a patch at least once every two bloody weeks since release, and all of them except this last one were huge. AND this last patch came after a Q&A where they said they were gonna go less ambitious with future patches, to ensure they can more adequately QA what they DO fix. The sim has had a truckload of bug fixes, which is just a fact in objective reality not really up for debate, so I'm not sure what to say there. They haven't fixed some bigger ticket items yet, which is maybe what you mean - but those bigger things also have the most involved fixes. They can't get things to a more complete bug-free state by sheer force of will alone. The rest is just personal opinion, which... fair enough. Between the console port, DX12, world updates, VR, bug fixing, and just regular ol' development on the future of the sim, Asobo's focus is running in a lot of different directions right now. I think anyone reducing that realty to more "Microsoft REALLY just want to make a vidya game for the console kiddies!" nonsense, is disrespecting how hard they are probably working right now. Whether it was people like mSparks months ago in full on neon clown shoes, or the more subtle concern trolls all over this subforum now. Edited October 18, 20205 yr by Scottoest
