MSFS Training Session

Featured Replies

Hey folks. I just started taking the built-in flight instruction in the app. There are sometimes objectives that I can't figure out how to do. For instance, in the third video it says 'TO FOCUS ON THE RUNWAY, HOLD..... and then there is an X inside a circle. I don't know what that means. I have holding the letter X, shift X, CTL x, ALT x, etc. Nothing seems to be working. Can someone tell me what an x inside a circle means?

Thanks,

Rob

Does this X inside a circle look like a radar scope or pie-chart?

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

It's a while since I did the training, but focus is done by pressing the 'S' key on the keyboard. Are you using a gamepad? It might be you have a button mapped to that.

Charliearon, no it just looks like a letter x inside a circle.

That's so weird, pressing "S" did it but why is it showing an X in a circle? How are you supposed to know what that means?

No I am using CH yolk and standard Windows keyboard and mouse.

The x in the circle was in the actual objective instruction in the training video. I could not get past it until I pressed letter s.

Glad you got it sorted. I just re-ran the lesson and it told me to hold 'S', no X anywhere. Odd!🤨

That's what I asked above. Apparently not.

Yea, only saw that now 🙂. But im 100% sure it is 😄 (hitting the X buttton on the pad does the same as hitting S on the keyboard).  Aparently its even in the presentation video, wich would make sense, so they dont have to reshoot the vids when msfs hits the xbox. Even if he has no gamepad, probably a secret Asobo's buggy bug 🙂
