October 30, 20205 yr Commercial Member Hi rudder, Are you logging in with the name of the initial user you set up when Windows was installing? If not try logging into Windows with that initial name and password (or PIN), then try installing the program. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
October 31, 20205 yr Good point. I don't know what version of Windows the OP came from. In the old days, as we remember, the initial account created on a new computer was a user account. You had to create an admin account to have full access. W10 automatically creates an admin account. Though there is a limited higher account. Perhaps the OP created another admin account out of habit, and this is the problem. Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
November 6, 20205 yr Commercial Member Another problem with permissions can come from attempting to install (or copy files or folders) from a shared folder on a network node or NAS for example. Try first to copy the installer program to the desktop. Then from the desktop run the installer. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
