The error that might finish it for me.......

Got this error out of the blue..did not install the update,, tried but got this error. I did go to the help link and tried it all. I did uninstall the program and reinstall but still got this error. Might try for a refund as it cannot be fixed.

It looks as thought they're trying to prevent anyone else having to suffer the carnage of the update until they sort it out. Like I said to you somewhere else, count yourself lucky, you've been spared a lot of angst.

Good point. I also think is a temporary measure while they are able to put things back in order, hopefully soon.

If that is true, then a message explaining the reason more clearly would be a better option.

This error appears to be a  Microsoft BUG, not a deliberate action to prevent anything.  Happened to me on the previous update but resolved it on my own.  Took a few minutes, but the update went fine afterwards.

Actually if they did pull the update,  it follows best practice in terms of corrective action, which is to contain further issues from occurring.  Asobo has stated that they will be providing further info later this morning on their next steps toward the resolution.  Stay tuned, they will get this resolved.
