Ok, well, I'm looking at this list, and the Eugene Heyart DHC-3 Otter PZL, which I should have put in the doesn't work category (well, it worked, but would crash on me if I tried to switch away from it), well, I can now put it back in the works fine category. I really should try to read the readme's more often.Anyway, I was correct in my assumption that many of the crashes are due to trying to access an outside program. In this case, it was looking for (and I figured this out after reading the readme) GaugeSound.dll. Well, I imagine this may fix many planes. In order to fix it, you need to go whereever your fsx.cfg file is and look for the file dll.xml and edit it with a text editor or whatever else you would like to edit it with. You'll need to tell FS that it can use the Gaugesound.dll file. Do this by adding the following lines (I'm not sure if it matters where, I added it to the bottom of the file just before the last line ): GaugeSoundFalseGaugeSound.dllWhen I started FSX, it asked if it was ok to use this file, then promptly crashed after I said yes and the program started to load. But I started FSX back up again and everything has been fine ever since.Perhaps this was obvious, but I hope it's helpful to somebody,Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

All I did was make sure there were no '98 gauges and that it took off and flew straight and did simple maneuvers ok. But I don't know a whole lot about the plane. Has anyone checked it out for any anomalies?Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

Seems to be ok in every way. Got this working to from FS9 love the old Ford.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/161646.jpgThere must be tons of great planes just need sorting out for FS9 gauges that will go right into FSX great thread. I keep looking hope others will add the ones the get working to.

You were wanting to blast around Edwards AFB. Sadly, Microsoft still has not done it justice in FSX. The FS98 downloadable Edwards AFB is STILL the best looking one around. Don't remember who created it, but it's available in various libraries.I haven't tried to port it into FSX yet and see if it works. I'm worried, b/c nothing much else from 1998 works (gauges) in FSX.Equally disappointing was Cape Canaveral. I read that they gave it a make-over in FSX. Ha! The shuttle looks as crappy and unrealistic as it did in FS9, and the VAB is still the wrong color. They did add a few buildings near the shuttle landing strip however --- I guess that's what they mean by a "total makeover."Disappoints aside, I can't wait to go blasting around with those superterrific happyhour elephants and zebras.Out.

Brian Selb has moved over a number of the POSKY aircraft to FSX (see AVSIM downloads). I've tried the CRJ200 and it worked very well. There's no VC but otherwise it flew/worked.Thus far he's moved - CRJ200, CRJ900, B738, B737, and the Airbus A330-300.Frank
