October 31, 20205 yr Hello all, I received my Thrustmaster Airbus throttle quadrant and tried to set it up for the FSL Airbus. However, the right throttle lever is always ahead of the other one in the cockpit while the physical hardware levers are aligned. I've tried calibrating it via FSUIPC and FSL's detent calibration in the MCDU but I can't fix it. The driver software doesn't have any option to calibrate and it shows the levers slightly misaligned as well when they are physically perfectly aligned. I'm guessing this means it's broken and I should opt for a replacement, or is there anything else I need to do myself before using it? I thought a malfunction like this wasn't even possible with hall sensors? Thanks.
October 31, 20205 yr You should start with the Windows game controller calibration. If the axis values are split at either end of the lever travel, then the Windows calibration was not done or not done properly. November 1, 20205 yr Author Thanks for the reply. What I've done now is uninstalling the Thrustmaster driver because it wouldn't open the Windows calibration menu but the TM driver instead which doesn't have any calibration option. I then ran the Windows calibration but the levers are still never really aligned except for in max reverse thrust and max forward thrust (beginning and end of lever travel). The manual also doesn't mention any calibration that needs to be done or any steps other than to install the driver and you're good to go. Edited November 1, 20205 yr by threegreen
November 6, 20205 yr I saw a video or post on youtube regarding there being a firmware update ... however the throttle only software could not update or see the update. The user instead was showing people to download the First Officer software to do it.... Maybe try to find that video... Les Les O'Reilly

I noticed the driver software didn't see the new version but I could update by running the firmware updater anyway. The throttle is working fine now after the update and another calibration through FSUIPC together with FSLab's detent adjustment. I also read posts from a few others that said their calibration was all over the place at first. I do think however that Thrustmaster should provide their own calibration software for the TQ. Without FSUIPC (paid version) I wouldn't have been able to get it to work properly.
