Still waiting for camera utility

Featured Replies

FSX really needs an easy to use camera utility like Active Camera. There have been posts about altering the camera.cfg file which are helpful, but every time I fly I miss the useful features of Active Camera. I do hope one of you sharp programmers will create this, basically a simple two or three step process to create and save vc views. If you build it, we will come....and even pay for it!

Me, I'm better off with the built-in view options than Active Camera (which is fine with fs9 of course)I assigned some of the joystick buttons to move left/rigt/forward/backwards/up/down. By pushing the "a" key I also get the perfect shortcut for important places in the pit, in the stock airplanes that is. My guess is that this will be taken care of in payware aircrafts eventually. Also remember to get familiar with the new view functions in FSX, like the "Nearest Tower", and different views like wingview and tail view.Actually my goal with this new sim is to familiarize with it as much as possible to avoid creating a need for extras. I'd rather spend money on new planes and scenery :-). The built in map is a sad story thoug ...Edit: forgot to mention the fabulous space bar functions; space hold and hat key to look around, space once to stop head latency when you're drunk and wanna hit that button ;-), and space hold + mouse wheel to zoom! Eagle

I sure hope this will result in something nice!
