Still my whole PC crashes with 8/8 overcast and rain set via active sky. if I set it too 7/8 with rain, all good. this is really strange. C. November 9, 20205 yr Wanted to chime-in on this discussions. I've upgraded to v5.1 over the past weekend (client only), and like many mentioned haven't seen any improvements. As a matter of fact, things got worse for me: I couldn't even get it to work (CTD in g2d.dll) unless I've disabled EA Clouds looked shimmering, suddenly appearing and disappearing layers Performance took a small hit - more load on VRAM and CPU Got no-reason CTDs midflight or when accelerating on runway at KATL Got NVIDIA 1080 disconnect even though VRAM usage wasn't high. So, in the end, I went back to the v5.0 (with latest Hotfix) - it is stable for me, which is very important as I do lots of VATSIM flights, and have somewhat complicated physical cockpit setup (dual seater with 2 GoFlight Yokes, VRInsight overhead, Motorized TQ, etc., where if I need to do full reinstall, it is a 2-week venture - too many devices, too many add-ons (~100 payware airport add-ons etc.).
