Honshu Part II

This weeks flight departs from Osaka's Kansai International Airport (RJBB). We head north and overfly the city of Osaka and the Osaka Castle. We see Kyoto and turn east at Lake Biwa to land at Gifu Aero (RJNG), one of the two airports of Nagoya. We depart, stay low and slow and head south to fly over Nagoya Airport and a couple of the points of interest included in MSFS (or the freeware addon). Then we head south for about 30 miles before we turn east again. The next landing will be at Shizuhama Aero (RJNY). After departure we will soon see the next attraction, Mount Fuji.

We head north along some other impressive mountains and land at Matsumoto (RJAF). About 30 miles northeast is the city of Nagano with a couple of points of interest (included in the freeware addon), again staying low and slow over the city of Nagano is recommended. Finally, we head west to finish this flight at Toyama (RJNT).

The flight has a length of about 415 miles, suitable for the CJ4 or the TBM930, or airplanes with a similar cruise speed.

Flight plan and Pilots Guide here.

To enjoy the deatails of Osaka, Nagoya and Nagano, the three freeware sceneries are recommended:

City of Osaka

Points of Interest Nagoya

Points of Interest Nagano

Recommend Departure time of 2:30 PM local.
Estimated Flight Departure Time:  Wednesday, November 11, 1900 UTC
Voice Communication: RTWR Teamspeak

A new update was released on Tuesday. Not a huge download, but you might anticipate the usual time delays. (Don't know if it is important, but I disabled the freeware addons in the Community folder. Then re-enabled them after the installation and after the first test.)

Bert might have some additional suggestions for those who installed the new "Autumn" coloration.

Which are very good, adding a little relief to the never ending green. see the thread, especially the bit which shows how to put the mod in the Community folder.

I'll be back with the link...
