FSX : does it have a future ? ...

So my opinion doesn't count because (as far as you know) I am not a real pilot?I might not be a qualified pilot, but I have taken enough lessons and / or pleasure trips in GA aircraft to unsderstand what the view of the ground looks like!! Honestly.............Clearly, if you enjoy photoscenery then FSX is for you.Personally, I find it has no depth and looks, well, flat.I agree it's fine from higher altitudes.I'm not too fussed about buildings, but trees help a lot with the immersion factor, especially in wooded areas.EDIT - I can't even be bothered anymore. I shall observe this forum and see how things go in the coming months. I promise to only post in the FS9 forum (or nice things in the FSX forum)Glenn

Thats they way I fly leave off the autogen buildings add in some trees.I do this per cell count in cfg. Have my top autogen to full so the citys and airports show. Then I'm in FSX heaven smooth and good FPS.If some of users just tried a few things they may find a whole new world of simming open up.Just in a copter turn of your autogen to start and get over a city in the summer and take a look. Its like that all over the world. Amazing what FSX has to offer right out of the box for around $59.00http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/161261.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/161262.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/161263.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/161264.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/161265.jpgNow I will enjoy my FSX while others can moan and groan about theirs. Its getting to where some of us don't care if it don't work for you any more. When we try to help we are called sheep, idiots and a few other choice words.I have seen some really great posters just raked over the coals. All because they like FSX and have made it work with just common sense in their settings. Then comes the chime in why now you made it look worse then FS9. BS...............................I know there only a few posters doing this. It really needs to end if you don't like FSX attack it not other posters over thery like for it.

re: Like Allcot and Tom have been written : there is no hardware nore will be hardware released that will be able to make FSX run like we all would like it to run. Would you guys please let me know where I can obtain one of those crystal balls you must be using? So many experts in here....it's really quite amazing. Craig

>>I didn't like photoscenery in FS9 either before you start.>I never did either. FS9 lacks the resolution for photo type tiles. FLYII with photo-real at altitude was stunning. X-Plane was better too.As to whether you fly planes, or don't like FSX, or any photo textures, it does not matter. It's just that several of us have commented how real a climbout or descent to a landing over this higher res. photo clarity scenery looks. We don't need a special classification as photo scenery lovers, or something to that effect.L.Adamson
