KSAN Area Day 1 Daytime Lighting Effects Edit Begins

Featured Replies

Hi Everybody,
With my night lighting effects just about done, it's time to start on  my daytime lighting effects. If I can get them close to real as my night time effects, I'd be ecstatic!!!!!

The left monitor show plane XP11.51b1 without any additional lighting effects, the left monitor has my night lighting effects installed. I'm working on the center monitor to get the day time effects I'm looking for and then I'll transfer those settings (they may need some minor adjustments) to the outer displays.

Mike - I don't have X-Plane so I don't know. I still enjoy your videos - only thing to make them better would be an MD-11 cockpit build   (Just kidding - it takes dedication and love of the airframe to decide on one particular aircraft!). 🍻

Will the sim transition from day to dusk to nighttime without too much of a jolt just by letting time progress when you're flying? If it does, will it keep your presets? FSX tries to do this, up to a point, and then boom - the towns and cities light up and the cockpit lighting changes...

Apart from that, take care, stay safe (your body is telling you, as you said!).

Hi,

My night lighting settings are locked in via reshade and I will be locking in my day time settings via MaxxFX so that end of it should be fine. All I need to figure out is how to auto jumpstart MaxxFX On/Off at dusk/dawn and I'm all set. I may even write to the MaxxFX creator to see if it's possible on their end via checkbox, maybe even set times when to turn the power user setting on/off.

If that's the case, this would be the best I could hope for until XP manages to get a smooth transition from day to night. As it is right now, you get that click down or up of day/night.

Thanks

Mike
