November 19, 20205 yr I purchased the Orbx Sydney scenery and have tried several times to land the Icon A5 on the water under the bridge. Each time I try the programme stops and tells me that I failed to lower the landing gear. Am I wrong in thinking that it would be fatal to lower the landing gear for a water landing or am I being stupid? Hello Charlie, I have just tried landing on water after leaving Valencia airport and it works perfectly as I would have expected there, so I am pleased to see it is not me at fault. A long while ago I watched a YouTube video of Squirrel (I think it was) landing on the water under Sydney bridge and taxing into the harbour, which I was trying to emulate. November 19, 20205 yr Administrators OK, I would now try landing on the water in Sydney but maybe 1/2 of a mile away from the bridge. Try taxiing up to the bridge and see if that causes any difficulties. Just wondering if the water in the new Sydney scenery package is being confused for a solid runway? November 19, 20205 yr You can't typically be on the water and go under a bridge. It won't work in most places. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Just tried that and as Ryan above says, it does not work. I landed on the water from the opposite direction successfully and then tried taxing underneath the bridge. This resulted in the engine cutting out completely as I hit an invisible brick wall. I was not impressed with the scenery pack however as most of the buildings in the pleasure boat harbour next to the bridge appeared to be floating in the air.
