I have tried unsuccessfully to combine and apply the different sound output options, but it always plays through the channels of the PC screen, but not through the external Logitech speakers built into it.

I've never heard of Boom 3D, but that's probably just a limitation in the Microsoft XACT audio engine we used in UGCX.
