November 28, 20205 yr Tried live weather here at CYYZ, Yoronto, canada Got the Atis Looked up the real Metar (weather) and it was not really dead on. Somebody had said that European servers are working great for Live weather retrieval. How do I change to point to those servers
November 28, 20205 yr Just click on your name in top right of a menu screen (you can do it when flying for example after pressing 'Esc' ) and you'll see a drop down menu - default for server selection is automatic, but you can select from a list.

November 28, 20205 yr The servers you can select in the UI (America East/West - Europe etc.) are only for the streaming scenery. The Live Weather comes from an entirely different set of servers. MSFS does not just connect to “a” server when it’s running - it typically connects to at least 7 different IP addresses when initializing, and maintains connections to at least 4 discrete IP addresses while running - (sometimes more). The network activity of the flightsimulator.exe process can be easily monitored with any TCP/IP utility program like CurrPorts, or Microsoft’s own TCPView from sysinternals.
