December 6, 20205 yr The ship is the freeware “USS Constitution”. The model itself is very, very basic; but I wanted to see, how she behaves in MSFS. So l chose a destination somewhere close the German North Sea shore, and voila, here she is, floating at around 2,000 ft. As she makes no attempt to sink from that altitude, I pushed her down gently with my yoke When we finally hit the sea, she didn’t seem to like it at all. Maybe she really thinks, she is the Flying Dutchman. After all, also ships have a soul. But when I slewed her up again, she settled in nicely and finally started to behave like a ship The next thing I did was starting an engine with Ctrl E And yes, here we go. She reacts to the throttle Now let’s see, how she can handle higher waves Wow, very impressive, she doesn’t even roll And look at this, she even survives this onslaught I had chosen this area with a purpose; I wanted us to meet a Henrik Nielsen AI ship. And sure enough, we soon encountered a motor yacht I have to admit, I had quite some fun with this. Now we only need Deltasim to give us some nicer models. Up to then, as we can convert some FSX planes to MSFS, maybe this is also possible with the one or other FSX ship? Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
