Another MSFS pc build question :)

Featured Replies

Hey guys and gals! I just ordered my new rig and can't wait for it to get here...

main specs :
Intel Core i5 9600K 3.7GHz (4.6GHz Turbo) Hex-Core Processor

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6GB Graphics Card

16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz DDR4 (2x8GB) Memory

1TB WD Blue 3D SATA M.2 Solid State Drive

Will this be ok for MSFS? I'm perfectly happy with 1080p 30fps. Pc builder said it would run it well. You guys are the pros? I spent all I could afford on this. So I'm anxious to hear what you all think?

It should run it just fine, as long as you stay with 1080p and do not venture into "Ultra" settings..

6 GB VRAM is going to be the limiting factor, I would think.. but this looks like a well balanced "All I could afford" system.. 🙂

I look forward to reading your report, once you've got it running!

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I figured the VRAM would be my bottle. I've seen good performances of my chosen card on youtube since I posted this. Some matched up with an inferior processor too. They seem to handle high fine but struggle in crowded areas on ultra. Still, It runs well.

Thank you for replying! I'll be sure to update once its here.

I am eagerly looking forward to your report, as this is almost exactly what I am planning to buy.  I was also considering the i5 10600  and probably 32 Gb mem.  I am not interested in ultra settings but was hoping an upgrade to 1440p might be possible.
