Niagara to Toronto (KIAG - CYYZ)

Featured Replies

Continuing to explore the world out there. This sim is doing wonders for my geography. I've had Roman's GTA freeware for a while, and been well impressed with it, and have just got his two payware Toronto airports. So having realised how close Toronto is to Niagara I thought I'd start at KIAG and check out the revised falls, and then head off around the shores of Lake Ontario and see what it all looked like. I left photogrammetry on, and all 4k and ultra settings.

I am having so much fun with this sim. I sympathise with the tubeliner folk and their problems with the sim, but for me, this really is a revelation. As long as I can get into the air, move the aircraft in the general direction of where I want to go, and hopefully land vaguely on the target runway/strip without bouncing too much I'm one happy camper. If they ever get replay added in, I will concentrate a bit more on actually flying the plane properly, as then I'll be able to gawp at the world on the replay, but for now, a 30 minute flight probably takes me an hour and a half as I keep hitting pause to go out and explore with the drone.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Nice little trip....Quite believable (travelogue) pictures...!!

Same here, Andy 😄  And the Falls look so much better now. I must check it out again. Thanks for reminding me.

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds
