MCE copilot not working properly with lights in MSFS

Featured Replies

MCE copilot does not work properly with landing lights, wing lights and runway turnoff lights in Citation and Asobo A320 neo for me. It is not recognized whether the landing light is on. Wing lights and runway turnoff lights are only switched individually and not switched on or off together.

Are you using the FBW mod v5? FBW Neo 320?

Its the business! Has all the functions in the MACDO. Its superb!

The CJ4 is now at V8...OMG! Thats even more complex! It doesnt even use Asobo flight paln!

ASobo have fallen way way behind in these two sims.

Dont expect MCE to keep up with the franetic devellopment!

The bog standard Neo and CJ4 should be fine.

Trouble is they update it faster than our beloved MCE can.

The bog standard Neo should work though.

The bog staandard CJ4 should work. (But its a dog!)

The Asobo MSFS is all a beta project, Im afraid.

I also am frustrated!

We are 12 months away from stability!

I am waiting for the Aerosoft CRJ. That comes witha SDK that at least our MCE dev can assign to.

As for the rest.....?

Bottom line...if you use the mod version (as I do) dont expect MCE to work 100% with it!

Regards

Hello Dave,

thanks for the useful hint with the CJ4 mod, I didn't even know and downloaded it straight away ;-). In fact, I use the A320 mod - always the latest version. Then we'll wait and see what else comes up in the flight simulation - golden times here anyway :-)!

Not seeing the issue with the A320 mod "stable release" downloaded from this link

I hope they don't get carried away and start chaging (not just adding to) what ASOBO has implemented.

There is stuff that can still be accessed via the SDK. Changing variables names would break that. I hope it's not the case here.

Also, use the (SHIFT + Z) to see if adding too much isn't negatively affecting performance.

Does anyone believe ASOBO couldn't add functionality to those switches they left out?

Hello

I believe they can and are able too, but i also believe asobo is understaffed for this massive project microsoft have given them.

In 2018 their number of employees is listed as 140+. not all of them are developers and  i am pretty sure a small amount of them are working on the sim.

IT could be because of the coronavirus and new restrictions and the fact that they're covering VR and xbox release, They're just  leaving a lot of half baked features on the sim and appear to even not notice the issues exist.

Managed altitude has been an issue since launch and they don't seem to want to fix it, sim-connect weather features are old and does not work. ATC seems to be broken  sometimes when flying IFR it can't decide which altitude to assign to you.

I'm also hoping for a new payware released with a nice sdk and simvars access so  i and MCE could move along to that. been enjoying flying but i really want to have some information on the messages that flash on the PFD and for now because of the restrictions  it doesn't seem like we're going to have any access.

edit: i'm also flying with fbw mod. last time i flown with the default a320, it did not switch to different flight phases in the MCDU automatically. Do they really test flight the  aircraft they made?

Hi.

I just spotted this post. If you want a reliable ATC I suggest you try Pulot2ATC.

I use this all the time and find it a marvellous add on. It works with MCE inasmuch that you can assign PTT in both programmes and have meaningful conversations with ATC.

Furthermore, the flight planning feature in Pilot2ATC is spot on. I now plan totally in Pilot2ATC. This ensures total waypoint continuity with ATC and best of all, continuity with altitude constraints in SID/STARs. Factor into all that the fact you can use all windows TTS voices (win10) and any purchased voices as well and it becomes totally immersive. I have a TTS voice as my MCE first officer and the same voice as the Pilot2ATC first officer, so the continuity ensures you have the same person in the right hand seat.

The only thing to be aware of is that, in MSFS, Pilot2ATC needs the freeware FSUIPC7 running.

Cheers.

Best regards
