Taxi to gate not matching MSFS Gate?

Still in the trial version but completed a flight, asked for taxi instructions and got given the taxi gate/route but open arriving there was no ground crew present.  I then pulled up the MS ATC to get taxi instructions and they obviously directed me to the spot where I was able to end my flight.  is this supposed to match, did I did something wrong?

P2A is not aware of what gate MSFS is setting up for you.  You can either use the MSFS ATC for taxi to the gate, or, figure out which gate they have the ground crew at and then either set that gate in the Info tab or request that gate from P2A instead of letting P2A randomly assign a gate.
