November 26, 200619 yr Hi, I have just bought Legacy which is okay in fs9. Wilco say to install it into FSX then download a patch to run it. Unfortunately when I try to install into FSX it won`t let me but says to load it into my fs9 directory. Any kind person know how I can overcome this? I copied the Legacy file over to FSX but when I tried to fly it I didn`t have a cockpit! Made flying very difficult. Alan
November 26, 200619 yr The installer allows you to browse to the FSX folder. Click on the tip of the red arrow. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/162082.jpg Bob Prince
November 26, 200619 yr Author Bobdoes HUD work for you in FSX for Legacy?it installs with errors for me but the plane works ok except for HUDobviously there is no support from Wilcoand feelthere is not up to par anymoreBo Bo Klop
November 27, 200619 yr Bo,Have you been to the feelthere forum for the Legacy or read the readme's and instructions for porting the Legacy into FSX? If you had you would know the HUD is not yet functional in FSX and they are working on a patch for that. Victor Racs' and the Feelthere team's support have continued to be very good for me. Wilco is not the support site for the Legacy so I would not expect support from them. Your comment about Feelthere's support is without merit. November 27, 200619 yr The HUD does not work for me. I saw a note on the download page concerning weather radar coming later with a patch, but I cannot find a readme concerning the HUD.My only problem is when I load an FSX flight plan, then select "FS FLIGHT PLAN" from the FMC, I get an immediate crash to the desktop. Also get a crash using certain transitions on arrival. However, they are not show stoppers since I can enter the flight plan manually and stay away from transitions I am not familiar with. Overall the Legacy is the best performing plane in FSX relative to frame rates. The Legacy is an excellent Corporate jet. I use PFC throttle quadrants and fly the plane as built (no autothrottle). It is great fun and a challenge with a good crosswind! The better flight dynamics in FSX makes it very difficult to go back to FS9. Thanks Feelthere!!Bob.. Bob Prince
November 27, 200619 yr Author hi Zaneplease point me to the topic/discussion about HUD in FSX not functional. Moreover if you refer to the below link, few days ago i did in fact ask feelthere about this and you will read the responsehttp://www.iemit.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6636Additionally, upon advice from feelthere i contacted wilco and this is the reply they sent me"Dear Sir,Hundreds of people have already downloaded the patch successfully, therefore, could we please suggest you to follow the instruction carefully, step by step ?Please let me know if you have any other questions, I'll be pleased to help you.Best Regards,"and after i told them (wilco) that i did follow the correct instructions, this was their second reply"Sir, We are investigating but it seems specific to your configuration. We can't tell you more at this stage.Best Regards,"So you see that my statements are substantiated with facts - nothing else!Bo Bo Klop
