It is true.Just got a new machine and FSX runs very well.20-30fps and very smoothWith the speed at which CPUs and video cards are improving I think FSX will be AWESOME on some machines out there by July 4th 2007.

We wont dumb down anything to get where we want to go. Period. You'll just have to trust our intentions. As to why we didnt start earlier, the team was busy finishing the product and was performing feature work at that time. And I wasnt even part of the team in June so this wasnt on my radar.

Had to note that i find it absolutely rediculous and *surreal* that the FS2000 patch description addresses performance "especially during turns". Hmmm...turns when flying an airplane? Yep. What trash can't handle simulating turns in an airplane? IL-2 and F4 and even LOMAC never had that sort of problem...Even now with FS9, i'm astounded that it has so many hiccups compared to the other aforementioned sims. Nowhere near the amount of tweaking required that the MSFS series requires. Kinda makes me feel like we're a bunch of tools for going through so much just to get it running fine. But for the alure of a civil sim's promises...Perhaps it is MSFS's open nature (add-on's) that make it so sensitive and performance-variable...
