December 27, 20205 yr Good day, Is any way of having GPS map orientation set to Track up versus North up? Thanks. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
December 27, 20205 yr There are mods for the Avionics that do this and so much more. GNS530/430 - Latest version at https://pms50.com/fs2020/gns530/pms50-gns530.zip G1000/G3000/G3X - Bottom of the page at https://github.com/Working-Title-MSFS-Mods/fspackages James
December 27, 20205 yr Author If is not too much, I'm completely green on this and have no idea how to install it and activate. If is anybody willing to spend some time to explain step by step I would appreciate it. I downloaded the files but could not find any guidance how to install for each airplane and how to activate track up. Thank you! 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
December 27, 20205 yr Just extract those to your Community folder. It's in the same area as your main install. (at least for a Microsoft store purchase). | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
December 27, 20205 yr Author Ok, and how do I switch to "track up" please. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
December 27, 20205 yr You best bet is to install MSAddonLinker ( https://flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker ). Download that, unzip it to anywhere you please and create a desktop shortcut to the MSFS_AddonsLinker.exe file. This is basically a mod manager that makes handling mods easy. It will find and use the MSFS Community folder for you so you don't have to search it out. Next, create a folder anywhere you please for the addons you download. In MSFSAddonLinker click Tools/Options and then the Add button to enter the folder location you created for your addons. Now, anytime you download a new mod for MSFS, unzip it into your created addon folder (in my case above E:\Games\MSFS addons) and MSFSAddonLinker will automatically make it available to your game. Launch MSFSAddonLinker and click to activate a mod or make sure they are not clicked to not be activated. That's it. When you start MSFS all checked mods will be active. There is a lot more the program can do including presets, launching MSFS and other programs for you, etc. I suggest reading the thread at https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/586454-another-tool-to-organize-your-msfs-addons-easily/ Edited December 27, 20205 yr by Phantoms James

December 27, 20205 yr 34 minutes ago, killthespam said: Ok, and how do I switch to "track up" please. On the G1000 click on the Map button and then TRCK UP. There will be a indication on the MFD which mode you are in. On the GNS530 you click on Menu and then select which mode you want.
