November 29, 200619 yr HiEarly this morning I was (as usual) making some display setting changes. I Uninstalled "ATI Catalyst Control Center" and Installed "ATI Tray Tools" instead.Obviously after that, when going into FSX I suddently had a Frame rate Counter in the Upper Right Corner of the FS-Screen. Where did I get that? Its there all the time - red when below my locked frame settings, and yellow when above - not that its a problem - I just wonder where it came from?I have a Dell Dimension 8400 system, with 2 GB RAM, and ATI800XT 256Mb Graphics Card. Now, there is a lot of setting possibilities in ATI TT. My question is:To simmers with similar systems like mine, how are your settings in ATI TT?RegardsHenrik KorningBGGH
November 29, 200619 yr Henrik,Right click on your ATI Tray Tools icon, select 'Options & Settings' and 'On Screen Display'. You should there be able to disable the OSD.It is red when frames are below 25 and yellow when above, it has nothing to do with your locked frame rate. That's just a coincidence.I would suggest trying out some of possibilities given in ATI TT. Not one system is alike.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
November 29, 200619 yr Hi MatsThanx for the Info.I wil follow yuor adwise when going home.Yes - it must be a coincidence that I have locked my frame rates at 26 - so I thought it had something to do with that.I will try out different settings in ATI TT.RegardsHenrik
November 29, 200619 yr Author I have not used ATI Tray Tools yet. But it sounds good.Must the Catalyst software be uninstalled before installing ATI Tray Tools? If, from the Main Windows desktop, I change the screen resolution the ICONs scatter. Will Tray Tools remember where ICONs go for various resolutions? If a new ATI driver is going to be installed does the ATI Tray Tools software have to be uninstalled prior to the new driver update? Then reinstall the ATI Tools?Does ATI Tay tools always support the latest ATI driver. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
