January 4, 20215 yr A good thing about P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 is that the xml scenery library format allows you to expand your add-on collection onto an additional drive if that's ever needed. 1TB is certainly enough room for a lot of addons...but if you do eventually outgrow that, you can just add another SSD and then install future add-ons (or move some over) to the new drive without having to disturb what's already on the original drive. I've got P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 each installed on their own 2TB Samsung EVO+ NVME drive, with a 1TB Samsung Pro as the Windows boot and Simzilla drive. It sounds like overkill, but it's really not...the P3D drives both already have ~600GB on them, so it could be getting tight on a 1TB drive before too long.
