January 9, 20215 yr I have the following strange problem: 1. Generate flight plan in Navigraph 2. Select appropriate SID and STAR 3. Export as an MSFS flight plan 4. Load that flight plan into the World Map Here is where my problem starts: MSFS loads the correct SID for the runway selected. However, as soon as I select a parking spot or a gate position, the SID is replaced with a DIRECT. Why? I haven't changed the runway I'm taking off from. What am I missing? Thanks!
January 9, 20215 yr Select your gate position from the drop down menu and not from the world map and your flightplan will stay the same. dont select an arrival rwy do that in the sim on the fmc System Intel core I9-10900.Asus prime Z490P motherboard, Corsair 32gb ddr4 dram, Samsung 970 EVO 1TB SSD and 1 TB Seagate Barracuda HD. January 9, 20215 yr Author Just figured that out myself after googling and youtubing. Selecting a gate from the drop down is the way to go. Selecting it on the world map means the flight plan gets reshuffled.
January 9, 20215 yr you got it lol just another bug in the sim System Intel core I9-10900.Asus prime Z490P motherboard, Corsair 32gb ddr4 dram, Samsung 970 EVO 1TB SSD and 1 TB Seagate Barracuda HD. January 9, 20215 yr If using the FBW A320, load the flightplan from the MCDU using Simbrief and not the MSFS flightplan page. In the flightplan page, just select the airport and the starting position. Now, I have had a couple issues with the STAR's, so I'll test selecting the gate from the drop down rather than the map to see if it makes a difference. If you are using the FBW A320, this video provides the process. I'm also using Navigraph, but here is what I do. 1. Make sure Navigraph is updated in the sim and in Simbrief. 2. Create your flight in Simbrief. 3. Import the flightplan into MSFS using the instructions in the video. 4. Import the flightplan from Simbrief into the Navigraph charts app. This should give you the same flightplan in all three programs. Importing from Simbrief is also nice because it pulls in the weight and balance, and weather data as well. I am still having issues getting the approaches to match up, but I think I have the process down. Since I'm less experienced with the Airbus MCDU than the Boeing FMC, I'm not quite sure if the issues I'm having are user error, if there is an issue with my workflow, or if there are still bugs, so YMMV. Speed and altitude constraints are a different story. The flightplan I imported yesterday was a mess from that standpoint.
