Tug does not align with aircraft

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm running FSMS 1.12.13.0 with FS2CREW Pushback Express 1.6.

When calling for pushback, the tug at first collides with the aircraft on the right side (seen from the pilot seat). Then it quickly realigns properly in front of the aircraft and starts pushback (see screen copies).

What's wrong ?

Thanks for help.

Remember we're just calling (triggering) the stock tug.

Sometimes the stock tug has difficulty connecting to the plane.  It's something for Asobo to improve on.

If you triggered the pushback via the ATC menu you'd see the same behavior,

Unfortunately, if the sim did this realistically, most people would probably want to skip the sequence. In real life you typically have someone slowly guiding the tug onto the aeroplane, and this frequently involves a bit of to-ing and fro-ing and left a bit, right a bit etc. sometimes the retaining pin is hard to insert and so on. In fact, it's often so tight up near the nose gear of the aeroplane in terms of available maneuvering room, that the one thing you make sure to do, is get the tug on the stand before the aeroplane has arrived, because the chances are you won't be able to get it there after the plane is on stand owing to all the other ground service equipment being in the way! 🤣
